ATTITUDE

Our attitudes determine our life...period!

ATTITUDE is our orientation, a combination of the way we feel and look at life situations.

Attitude works directly with our 'Care-Level'. The amount of effort we put into caring about something, anything, determines our disposition towards it. When that 'something' is altered or messed with, the results will be directly connected to our active attitude...and that perspective will bring that same weight to everything we do.

For the actor, attitude helps bring 'dynamic' and 'texture' to the character. That attitude ultimately makes each character they play more interesting. For the person, it sets the foundation for everything we experience in life. The importance of this information is to help empower you with a better understanding and working knowledge of the power you already posses.

The more specific and less ambiguous your attitude, the more powerful your work (and life) becomes. The more care you have the stronger your presence, and as a result...the more developed your characters become. The stronger your character becomes, the more full the life of your character will become.

EXERCISE
Chose one specific attitude, make it as clear as you can, and [without fear] apply it and carry it into a specific social situation. Hold on to that attitude for the duration or the encounter (exercise). Now observe any and all differences in yourself, in others, and with the environment.

How was it different? What did you experience?

Now do it again in with a new set of circumstances and a new and different:
ATTITUDE - PERSPECTIVE - DISPOSITION - TAKE - VIEW

As you continue to explore this sort of work, you're capacity for experiencing wil continue to grow and develop. And in the words of Viola Spolin -- "It's the increasing of your individual capacity for experiencing that the untold potentiality of a personality can be evoked."

You have a lot more power then you may realize
Fear not to tap in!
